On its own, the Air Jordan 1 FlyEase is one of Nike’s most important/special sneakers ever made. What can make it better? This PE version that has Jordan Brand teaming up with Make-A-Wish to help Jordan Carranza (13), who was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, to fulfill his dream of designing his very own pair of Jordans.
This PE iteration of the Air Jordan 1 FlyEase comes dressed in a clean and classic White and Blue color scheme accented by the Black hits on the Swoosh branding, tongue tag and ankle collar. Packed with unique detailing throughout, Carranza’s sneaker comes with a custom Jordan/wheelchair logo on the lining, side of the heel, inside the icy translucent outsole and one of the tongues. Jordan Carranza also gets his own logo, which is also spotted on the other tongue tag, as well as implemented on to the Wings branding on the collar. The custom insoles also comes with a quote that reads: “Just because your disabled doent mean that your dream cant come true. JC.”
“What inspired me to make this shoe is that Nike has always been my favorite brand, and I have always wanted to make a shoe. The reason I made a handicap style is that it shows me that just because you’re disabled doesn’t mean that your dream can’t come true,” Carranza said.
Jordan Carranza’s Air Jordan 1 FlyEase PE is not expected to release to the public as it’s currently said to be a design exclusively made for friends and family and will not be available to the public. Get a closer look at the sneaker below. Good work, Carranza!
