The special Air Jordan 10 “Wings” is dropping this month as it’s part of the Jordan Chicago Collaborators’ Collection for NBA All-Star 2020 which serves as a canvas for the Chicago creative community to represent their neighborhoods through footwear and apparel.
Jordan Brand’s Wings Design Program notably connects high school students with introductory educational programming geared towards the footwear and apparel industries. Four of those students from participating Chicago organizations—Embarc, Enlace, Link Limited and Little Black Pearl—lent their unique skills and perspectives to this reworked retro, with the mission of repping their hometown’s famed grit and architecture. The weather-ready design arrives with an upper of white tumbled leather. Taking cues from an iconic statue in the city’s center, the shoe features glimmering metallic silver mudguards. Bright, asymmetrical accents represent distinct public transportation routes. Finally, a green insole and icy blue outsole complete the tribute to the Windy City.
