Also reported to be part of a larger “Dunk On Mars” capsule, the line will incorporate a Mars-like aesthetic that pays tribute to Spike Lee’s iconic character from the classic ’80s and ’90s Air Jordan commercials.
This new Air Jordan 5 colorway takes on an official color makeup of “Martian Sunrise/Black-Fire Red-Muslin-Bright Mandarin” as the upper is composed of premium Tyvek leather in the highlight reddish/orange hue. Additionally, Black accents throughout, 3M reflective tongues, “23” embroidered on the heels, two-tone shark teeth overlays on the black midsole, and a vintage translucent outsole rounds out the profile.
