A brand new Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG is revealed and this rendition of the silhouette is a tribute to Michael Jordan’s basketball Hall of Fame induction speech from 2009, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. Sporting a color block layout to reflect MJ’s alma-mater UNC, as well as his professional career with the Chicago Bulls — “White/University Blue-Varsity Red-Black” — the sneaker boasts a patent leather construction. Other notable elements on the model consists of a quote from Michael Jordan’s basketball Hall of Fame induction speech — “Limits, like fear, are often just an illusion,” alongside a crossed out “FEAR” printed on the insoles.
Finally, Nike Air tongue labels and gold outlined holographic wings logo across the ankles top off its design. This model is also as the men’s counterpart to the women’s “UNC to Chicago” variation, which is slated to drop next year.
