Scheduled to debut this week will be the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Defiant” (Tour Yellow), which dons the classic “Black Toe” theme. Composed of premium tumbled leather, the sneaker is detailed with red stitching throughout, followed by unfinished Swooshes prominent on the outer lateral portion of the silhouette.
According to the Swoosh, the model’s “Defiant” style pays homage to the alternative rock community, as the DIY aesthetic takes inspiration from leather jacket’s stitching details and removable patches. The defining bright yellow Swooshes are found on the inner lateral sections, which is a salute to ‘80s album colors and irreverent streetwear that defined alternative rock at the time, while “Nike Air” branded tongues and the wings logo gracing its ankles tops it all off.
