Slated to drop this October, we now get our first look at the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Rookie Of The Year. This brand new colorway of the Jordan 1 is inspired by Michael Jordan’s wardrobe during his Rookie of the Year acceptance speech
During his acceptance speech Jordan was dressed in a button up suede-like shirt, which is where the inspiration for the design of this Air Jordan 1 comes into play. The shoe comes dressed in a Gold Harvest, Black and Sail color scheme. The Gold Harvest on the shoe pays homage to the Brown shirt he wore while receiving the award. The design of the shoe has it come with a White leather upper, Wheat nubuck overlays on the toe cap, eyestay and heel, and Black detailing on the tongue label, ankle collar, Swoosh logo and rubber outsole. Other notable details on the shoe include the Red Nike Air branding on the tongue, and text inside the detached layer around the custom ankle collar.
