Someone Payed Over $30,000 For Kobe Bryant’s Air Jordan 3 PE Sample

During the 2002-2003 NBA season Kobe Bryant was a sneaker free agent and many consider this to be his greatest “sneaker” season of all-time. The main reason is because he wore some of the best Air Jordan retros of all-time, including some of his very own PE colorways. One of the most popular is the white, purple, and yellow Air Jordan 3 which was given to friends & family of the brand last year in a special pack alongside Kobe’s Air Jordan 8 covered in the same colors.

This special Air Jordan 3 that was specifically designed for the Mamba back in 2002-2003 was recently auctioned off on eBay and sold for a whopping $30,400. The shoe comes in Kobe’s size 14 and also includes the production date of 11/26/2002 written on the tongue tag. Would you have payed that much money for a piece of Kobe/Air Jordan history?
