Today we get our best look yet at the Air Jordan 9 Baseball Glove Black. This premium version of the Air Jordan 9 is rumored to be limited to only 2,000 pairs, so if you’re looking to get a pair you’re going to need some luck (or connects) on your side.
As you can see on the images above, the Black leather upper of the shoe comes with woven detailing on the panels and heel. This new design on the Air Jordan 9 is inspired by the design of a baseball gloves. Why baseball gloves and why the Air Jordan 9? This retro happens to be the model Jordan Brand dropped the year that Michael Jordan retired (for the first time) to go play baseball. The all-Black leather upper is paired up with even more Black on the leather laces and midsole. White is utilized on the lining, outsole, tongue branding, while the “45” on the heel represents Michael’s baseball number. Another cool touch on the shoe are the custom pinstripe insoles which I’m guessing pay homage to the threads Jordan wore while playing for the Birmingham Barons. No release date yet but stay tuned as more info is sure to surface.
