This Air Jordan 1 Chicago Satin Custom Is The Sneaker We All Wished Dropped In 2019

Solomon Pech (aka hoopfr3sh on IG) recently unveiled this Air Jordan 1 Chicago Satin custom you see above. We all know Chicago 1s are fire as is, but this satin-covered version of the sneaker definitely takes the icon sneaker to a whole other level.

A couple of us here at KicksonFire were lucky enough to see this custom in-person earlier this week. As dope as they look in the pictures above, believe me when I say they look even cleaner in person. Let me break down the design for you.

So hoopfr3sh‘s Air Jordan 1 Chicago Satin custom is a handmade fully constructed pair that is done using traditional shoe making methods. Each pair is constructed by his hands and no one else. The sneaker is lined with smooth black lamb skin and also comes equipped with gunmetal eyelets. The upper is done in the timeless Chicago color blocking, but instead of leather, hoopfr3sh opts for a luxurious satin take on the classic colorway.

Although Jordan Brand didn’t release this pair in 2019, hoopfr3sh has decided to release a limited number of pairs! For all you Chicago 1 enthusiasts out there, now’s your chance to cop a pair.

In addition to the “regular” pair, hoopfr3sh will also be releasing a collector’s edition of his Chicago Satins. This (Collector’s Edition) Chicago Satin will include a special satin wrapped box in the classic black and red colorway. Lined with a black velvet interior, stitched on logo lettering on a plush padded lid + all sides of the box. Each box will be hand constructed and individually numbered to go along with the shoes. The Collectors edition will also come with diamond stitched insoles with closed edges for a clean finish. This version is limited to 10 pairs, with each pair being numbered

Both versions of the Chicago Satin custom will be available in US Men size 7-14 on November 23rd @ 11:11 am PST via the hoopfr3shop. Will you be adding these grails to your collection?
