Jordan Brand will be releasing yet another Black, Red and White colorway of the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG. That being the case, this pair still manages to stand out from the pack by utilizing some design details we rarely see on the Jordan 1. Dubbed the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Who Said Man Was Not Meant To Fly, let’s get a closer look.

This colorway of the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG is said to be inspired by the “Who Said Man Was Not Meant To Fly” commercial from 1985.

The commercial sees Jordan wearing a pair of Bred 1s while flying through the air to throw a one-handed jam. The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Who Said Man Was Not Meant To Fly also opts for a Black, Red and White color scheme as the shoe comes dressed in White leather on the side panels and toe, offset by the Black leather noted on the overlays. What helps differentiate this pair from the rest of the Black/Red Jordan 1s is the way the Red is used on the shoe, which can be found on the trimming that helps give the shoe a nice pop. Matching Red laces, a White midsole and Red rubber outsole are also in play.
