First previewed back in June, today we bring you a closer look at the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Who Said Man Was Not Meant To Fly.” While that probably won’t end up being the official name, since the phrase IS written on the insoles many people will recognize it as that.
This new colorway of the Air Jordan 1 takes on the extremely popular black/white/red color makeup as the shoe features a soft white leather on the side panels and toe with contrasting Black hitting the ankle/heel, overlays, Swoosh, and inner liner. Gym Red provides a nice pop as it has been used on the trim on the entire shoe as well as on the laces, outsole, and the Nike Air branding on the tongues. Blacked out Wings branding on the ankles and “Who Said Man Was Not Meant To Fly” printed on the insoles complete the look.
The latest reports have this Air Jordan 1 slated as this year’s Black Friday release for November 29th at a $160 price tag instead of the previously mentioned Air Jordan 1 Bred with ’85 height.
