The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Sports Illustrated (A Star Is Born) has a special meaning to its unique colorway, and it’s a tribute to Michael Jordan’s first Sports Illustrated cover during his rookie season with the Chicago Bulls in 1984. Colored in a classic black and white leather upper mixed with red accents on the wings logo, tongue and outlining of the Swooshes, the highlight is the striped green embroidered Swooshes. It’s colored to reflect the old Milwaukee Bucks jerseys, which was the team MJ played against on the cover image used for his Sports Illustrated cover titled, “A Star Is Born.”
