The Air Jordan 5’s 30th anniversary this year will bring forth a 2020 rendition of the classic Air Jordan 5 “Fire Red” with its silver 3M Reflective tongue this spring. According to sources, the model’s scheduled debut this month has been pushed back till April instead. Reflecting its OG 1990 counterpart with the favorable “White/Fire Red-Black” color scheme, notable details include translucent lace locks, Nike Air-branded heel tabs, the shark teeth-inspired shank on the mid-foot and an icy translucent outsole to top off the design.
Retailing for $200, look for this Air Jordan 5 at select Jordan Brand stores and online on April 25. Previously, the silhouette was slated to drop on March 28, which would’ve marked the 30th anniversary of the day when Michael Jordan scored 69 points against the Cleveland Cavaliers (March 28, 1990).
