Release Date: Nike SB x Air Jordan 1 Low Midnight Navy

The Nike SB x Air Jordan 1 Low Midnight Navy is a special variation of the silhouette which pays homage to Nike SB. According to the Swoosh, when Nike signed its first skateboarders, like Gino Iannucci and Reese Forbes, Nike SB didn’t exist and riders received Air Jordan 1s to skate in. That era in particular inspired legendary skateboarder Eric Koston to design this exclusive SB x Air Jordan 1 Low alongside a team designers and specifically recalled Gino showing him an original AJ 1 with a Zoom Air sockliner and the iconic white and navy leather blocking.

Overall, this model is a nod to the beginnings of the Nike SB branch, sporting the very same color scheme of Midnight Navy, White, Ember Glow, and Metallic Silver. The leather uppers are covered in the clean hue, while navy suede overlays and silver Swooshes on the side panels highlight the style. Finally, a coral Jumpman, which pays tribute to the 35th anniversary of the Air Jordan 1, is positioned on the vamp, while wings branding is evidenced on the heel tab. Additionally, Koston’s signature is placed on the inner tongue label.

Retailing for $110, look for the Nike SB x Air Jordan 1 Low “Midnight Navy” at select Nike stores and online on June 14. Always keep it locked to KicksOnFire for the latest in sneaker news, release dates and where to purchase your favorite kicks.
