The long wait is finally coming to an end as the Air Jordan 3 Katrina/Hall Of Fame will FINALLY be making its debut at retailers tomorrow.
Debuted in 2003 as a PE worn by then Jordan Brand athlete Derek Anderson, this White/Red colorway of the Air Jordan 3 was then brought back in 2006 to help raise funds for Hurricane Katrina relief. Jordan Brand donated a special collection of shoes to be auctioned off in 2006. Included in the collection was a rare pair of White/Red Air Jordan 3s. While this pair was an identical colorway to the PE worn by Derek Anderson, it didn’t include his number and other PE touches. Then in 2009 in celebration of Michael Jordan being inducted to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2009, a special “Become Legendary” collection of Air Jordans was curated to be displayed in Springfield, MA. which included this same white/red Air Jordan 3.
The Air Jordan 3 Katrina/Hall of Fame features an all-white tumbled leather upper along with Fire Red accents placed on the heel, lower eyelets, the inside of the tongue, and the Jumpman branding on the tongue. Black and Cement Grey elephant print has then been added on the toe and heel for that classic look along with a white midsole and grey rubber outsole.
Look for this highly anticipated colorway of the Air Jordan 3 to release at select Jordan Brand retailers tomorrow (May 12th) in full family sizing with the men’s pair priced at $190.
