The KAWS x Air Jordan 4 was a complete success even if some of us were expecting the final outcome to look a bit more “colorful”. Even priced at $350, it was virtually impossible getting a pair, unless you were down to pay resell price which is currently around $1,800-$2,000. But what if the KAWS x Air Jordan 4 collab would have been done in another colorway? Would it have been better or worse? How about the KAWS x Air Jordan 4 Black Suede Sample you see above?
The KAWS x Air Jordan 4 Black Suede above is what many of us thought the collab was going to end up looking like. It was one of the first leaked samples and now we’ve learned that it was just that, a sample creation that never made it past the sample stages. Judging by the pictures, the shoe appears to be designed and constructed in the same fashion as the released pair, the only difference being is swapping out the Grey upper in favor of the Black upper. Now that Jordan Brand and KAWS have witnessed the amount of success their collab got, do you think this could end up being a potential release somewhere down the line? I guess we’ll just have to wait and see right? Stay tuned.
